When the Beyonder returned, the Cosmic beings of the Marvel Universe saw him as a threat. Introduced in Secret Wars II #7 (1985) by Jim Shooter and Al Milgrom, Mephisto sent his minion, Bitterhorn, to make deal with various villains. While this was happening, Mephisto explained to Lady Death that this was being back by a majority of Cosmic being backed his planned, which would see his Legion Accursed attack the Beyonder. If one of them could even touch him, it would activate a Beyonderbane that would destroy the Beyonder and also destroy a large portion of the universe. Eternity was willing to amputate this part of his body to get rid of Beyonder. However, Mephisto own interference caused this team’s downfall, when Thing, who was being influence to attack Beyonder and was given a power boost, defeated all the villains there before any of them could even touch the Beyonder.

There was said to be over 99 villains that were part of this team but we only know of: Abomination, Absorbing Man, Anaconda, Baron Mordo, Batroc the Leaper, Blastaar, Crimson Dynamo, Diablo, Doctor Doom, Doctor Octopus, Electro, Graviton, Hobgoblin, Juggernaut, Kang the Conqueror, Kraven the Hunter, Living Laser, Mole Man, Rhino, Ringmaster, Silver Samurai, Titania, Ultron-11, Vanisher, Vulture, White Queen, Wizard and Wrecker
