  • Unusual Feature: The Mole Man is short in stature, overweight, and extremely nearsighted. His posture is very poor, and his unusually large nose gives him a grotesque, almost mole-like appearance.

He hold the honour of being the Marvel Age first ever supervillain. Introduced in Fantastic Four #1 (1961) by Stan Lee and Jack Kirby, this short and near blinded man would face ridicule for his appearance. This caused him to leave his life and search for the legends of an underground world. He eventually found it on an island that people call Monster Island. He found an entrance to the underground world, known as Subterranea, where he also found a race of Moloids and monsters. The Moloids worshipped him as their kings and he became one of the rulers the underground world. He would even have a child with one of the mole monsters.

After decades of living underground, he started planning his revenge against the surface world. He sent monsters to the surface only for them to be sent back by the Fantastic Four. This began a long campaign to take over the surface, which saw him battle pretty much every hero there is. He rule came under pressure when he began a war with another ruler of Subterranea, Tyrannus as well as Kala of the Neither realm. This would drag many heroes into it but Mole Man would eventually gain control of Subterranea. Skipping quite a bit, he would end his campaign against the surface to live a life of peace. However, when he believed that the surface poisoned his people he would began his campaign again.

As the Fantastic Four oldest and one of the most frequent villains, Mole man has been a highly request character for Marvel Legends collectors. He would receive as part of the Marvel Legends first ever themed wave, the Fantastic Four Ronan the Accuser wave.

  • Background:
    • Mole Man as he usually appears. Like many classic costumes, he has been drawn differently by different artist as well as having different color, like the shade of green or the cape being purple.
  •  Why you need it for your collection?:
    • As of one of the F4 most popular and longest villains, you will need this for your F4 villains. You can also use him for, well, pretty much every villain collection including Hulk, Avengers, Spider-man, X-men, Daredevil etc.
  • Does it need a remake?:
    • Yes. This figure is great for the time but really needs an update.
