When the Fantastic Four were believed killed, these guys rose to avenge them. Introduced in Fantastic Four #347 by Walt Simonson and Arthur Adams, a Skrull, called De’Lila, who in search of a powerful Skrull device, captured the F4 and summoned Spider-man, Wolverine, Joe Fixit Hulk and Danny Ketch Ghost Rider. Taking on the form of Sue, she convinced them that the F4 had been killed by Mole Man. Swearing revenge, the four form a new team to avenge their friends. Eventually the truth was found out and this version of the team disbanded.

This team would reform a few times like when Spider-man needed help against the Sinister Six. However, instead of Wolverine, Sleepwalker took his place on the team. They reformed again as part of Dr. Strange’s Secret Defenders, in order to bring the Human Torch in for arson. The most recent version was during Empyre, where Franklin and Valeria summoned Wolverine and Spider-man to help them with the Kree-Skrull Invasion.
