He is one of many that protects your dreams. Introduced in Sleepwalker #1 (1991) by Bob Budiansky and Bret Blevins, this being is part of a race of being known as Sleepwalkers that would protect your dream from outside interferences. This one was tricked by his foe Cob Web into Rick Sheridan’s mind, where he became trapped. After a few fights with Cob Web, Rick and Sleepwalker realized that when Rick slept, Sleepwalker could materialize in the real world, where he would fight crime.

He would battle small time crooks, like 8-Ball and Bookworm. He eventually teamed up with Darkhawk, Deathlok and Moon Knight in preventing Eon’s body from invading the universe, after Thanos had killed half the universe. He would later battle Nightmare before helping the heroes in defeating their evil doppelgangers created by the Magus. He would later be forced to join the Goddess army during the Infinity Crusade but would turn on her when they learnt the truth of her plans.

His reputation was ruined when Cob Web disguised the Mindspawn as the Sleepwalkers and sent them to attack the real world. Teaming up with the Avengers, Sleepwalker would battle Cob Web, sacrificing himself to save Rick’s mind. He would later return and was one of the heroes that the Stranger in “Beyond!” before joining the Initiative during the Civil War. He would later battle Doc Ock, who was in Spider-man’s body at the time. The Avengers would later recruit him to battle the Quiet Man (though only because he was part of the Initiative and didn’t join.)

Sleepwalker is a very niche character that does have a few fans, but most have never heard of him. These fans, however, have been requesting for this character for years and he would receive a figure as part of the Dr. Strange into the Multiverse of Madness wave.

    • No.
