Following his death, Wolverine’s greatest allies and enemies joined together to stop villains from using his body. Introduced in Death of Wolverine: The Logan Legacy #7 (2014) by Charles Soule and Peter Nguyen, after Logan gave up his life when he was encased in adamantium, Shogun captured five people with healing factors. These were X-23, Daken, Sabretooth, Lady Deathstrike and Mystique. He taunted him, claiming that he had implanted trigger words in their minds to make them go berserk or even kill themselves. He teamed them up with his minions and sent them to find Logan’s body. They eventually found it and after many fights with the likes of Mr. Sinister, manage to retrieve his body, giving it over to the X-men to keep safe. They would break up afterwards and it would be this event that cause Laura to take up the mantle of Wolverine, with the blessing of her brother Akihiro.
