He watched his (alleged) children do what?! Introduced in Ultimate X-Men #1 (2001) by Mark Millar and Adam Kubert, in this universe, mutants were created rather then born with Wolverine being the first, using a special genome that grants certain people their powers. It was released into the atmosphere leading to the rise in mutant kind. He was eventually rescued by Magneto and would later escape the Weapon X facility joining up with Magneto’s Brotherhood. He was sent to infiltrate the X-men and assassinate Xavier but turned on Magneto after he began a relationship with Jean Grey. They would break up after she learnt of his original mission and she would begin a relationship with Cyclops. Despite trying to kill Cyclops, he would be allowed to remain on the team.
Because Cyclops allowed him back in the team, he began opening up to the other members of the team and began looking out for the younger mutants, particularly Rogue. He also started a brief relationship with Storm but quickly broke up because of their age. He was later asked by Nick Fury to hunt and capture the Hulk. When Magneto began his global assault on the planet after the deaths of his children, the X-men, alongside the Ultimate/Avengers, went to stop Magneto. Magneto used his powers to rip the adamantium from Wolverine killing the mutants. His son, Jimmy Hudson, would later join the X-men and would eventually find his way to the prime universe.
During the transition from Toybiz to Marvel, the Ultimate universe was extremely popular with Wolverine (obviously) being the most famous member of the Ultimate X-men. He would receive a figure in the second Hasbro Legends Blob wave but…..well you see below.
X-men Uniform

Recommend Figure: Hasbro Marvel Legends Blob Wave – Ultimate Wolverine
- Background:
- For a while, Wolverine wore the costume below or some form of civilian clothing. However, after Cyclops invited him back into the X-men, Wolverine began working as a team member and began wearing the X-men uniform.
- Why you need it for your collection?:
- Unless you are a huge Wolverine fan or love the Ultimate universe, I would recommend figure that has been dubbed the Amish Wolverine. I mean just look at those hideous claws alone.
- Does it need a remake?:
- Yes. I’m actually surprised that it hasn’t been done yet considering how often Hasbro has made a Wolverine figure.
Needs
Below you will find a gallery of suits that still need to be made. I have included what I think are the possibilities of them being made. Note that these are my personal opinions and not facts. Please let me know if I have missed anything.
