Hey, every school has that one class. Introduced in New X-Men #135 (2002) by Grant Morrison and Frank Quitely, The Special class is a class in Xavier’s Institute that was formed for the students who were having problems with their powers, feeling isolated or had a mental disability. Originally thought by Xorn (Kuan-Yin) the class consisted of Angel Salvadore, her later boyfriend and husband Beak, Basilisk, No-Girl, Ernst and Dummy. Dummy died when Kid Omega caused a Riot in the school and later Dusk would join the class. However, Xorn, under the influence of the drug Kicks, began believing he was Magneto and took the class to become the Brotherhood of Mutants. They were defeated, killed, arrested, returned to the school or left to raise a family.

The class were later reformed after Wolverine’s death. Believing that there was traitor in the class, he brought in Spider-man to teach the class, now brought together as they were most likely to become villains. No-Girl and Ernst returned with Hellion, Rockslide, Shark-Girl, Glob Herman and Eye-boy. He took them on adventures as training missions, including a fight with Sauron and Stegron and later Mojo. The class was soon disbanded soon after.
