Some people just want to feel wanted. Such was the case with Lady Deadpool. Introduced in Deadpool: Merc with a Mouth #7 (2010) by Victor Gischler and Rob Liefeld, Wanda Wilson is the female counterpart from alternate universe of the main universe Deadpool. She exists in a universe that has America at war, with Fascist trying to control the government and states trying to separate from America (IE. Texas wanting to be its own country). Lady Deadpool had joined the rebels because they made her feel like she belonged and wanted. Her opponent in this universe was General America, an extreme loyalist version of Captain America.

During one fight, she encountered Deadpool and Headpool. Deadpool sweet talked her into joining his Deadpool Corps. When Dreadpool and his evil Deadpool Corps started hunting down other Deadpool’s, she helped gather the members of the Deadpool Corps. She was believed killed when she tried to stall for her team by sending the Bea Arthur ship crashing into Galactipool, killing him and herself.

While she is an obscure character, she has garnered a lot of fans over the years. When most people made their Ideal waves for Deadpool, they usually put her in one of the female slots. While Marvel Select released one, we wanted a Marvel Legends version, which we got in the second wave of Marvel Legends Deadpool series.

  • Background:
    • Lady Deadpool really only had one costume in her short tenure in comics which was just female version of the main universe Deadpool.  Both were designed by the character’s creator Rob Liefeld.
  •  Why you need it for your collection?:
    • Like I said Lady Deadpool is a fan favorite but might not appeal to a lot of collectors. If you are a DP fan then this is a must. It also could be the start of completing the Deadpool Corps, of which we only need one more (Kid).
  • Does it need a remake?:
    • No.
