Carnage always wanted an insane family. This just happens to be his dog. Introduced in Infinity War #1 (1992) by Jim Starlin and Ron Lim, Doppelganger was one of many evil duplicates that was created by the Magus in order to battle the heroes. His first encounter with Spidey was when the web-slinger was battling a demon processed Hobgoblin (Macendale). Hobgoblin killed Doppelganger but he was revived by Demogoblin. After the Magus was defeated, this one was the only one that survived as he had created a link to Demogoblin.

The two would later join Carnage and Shriek in their crime spree during the Maximum Carnage story line. During this, Shriek became like a mother to Doppelganger, who would become extremely loyal to her and tried to protect her against Carnage. Years later, he tried to bust Shriek out of an armored car but was cut in half but Royal Blue. He revived himself and help Shriek escape and went to find Carnage. Shriek and himself distracted the heroes by spreading chaos in Manhattan allowing Carnage to escape. He was later seen with Carnage before the Carnage USA story. A version of him was seen in the Spider-verse but it is unknown if this was the same character or a separate version.

Despite being in the comic for a total of 3 major stories, Doppelganger was being asked for because of the Maximum Carnage game (that the comic was based on). When the Six-Armed Spider-man was revealed, we all knew this couldn’t be far behind……..in the very next wave.

  • Background:
    • When he was created by the Magus, he was created as a near mindless beast that reflected Spidey’s dark side, with him have Spidey’s traumatic Six-arm experience being a inspiration. To add to the nightmare fuel he was given claws and fangs. Otherwise he is just a monster version of Classic Spidey.
  •  Why you need it for your collection?:
    • People have been asking for this for a while, mostly because of the Maximum Carnage comic and video game. As such many people will be getting it for that. We actually have a few characters from that story, with only a few left, mostly Carnage’s Family. If you are trying to complete the Spider-army from the Spider-verse, then you need this was well.
  • Does it need a remake?:
    • No.

Needs

Below you will find a gallery of suits that still need to be made. I have included what I think are the possibilities of them being made. Note that these are my personal opinions and not fact. Please let me know if I have missed anything.
