Even though they have been working together for decades, this was the first time they became a team? MCU synergy at it’s finest. Introduced in Defenders (Vol. 5) #1 (2017) by Brian Michael Bendis and David Marquez, Daredevil, Iron Fist and Luke Cage interfered with the crime-lords’, Diamondback (no relation to the Serpent Society member), operation. Working together with Luke’s wife, Jessica Jones-Cage, they succeeded in having Diamondback arrested but he would escape shortly after. He would escape but the team captured him with his new drugs, Diamond, and had him arrested again. During the Secret Empire, they would work together when New York was engulfed the Darkforce, they worked together to protect the citizen and later joined the rest of the heroes to take down Hydra. After Wilson Fisk became mayor of New York, there were a number of gangster who wanted to take his place as Kingpin of crime, including Diamondback and the Hood. Working together with a few friends like Deadpool and Black Cat, the Defenders would beat Diamondback and then took out the Hood. They would break up soon after.
