It’s rare that a character that was created to die in her first storyline in the main universe would become a extremely popular character in another universe. But such was the case with Blink when she was created for the Age of Apocalypse storyline. In the main universe she was a young mutants who helped the young mutants that would become Generation X escape the Phalanx but she would dye doing so, and would remain dead. But when Legion went back in time to kill Magneto but instead killed his father Xavier, he inadvertently created the Age of Apocalypse universe where Blink, along with many forgotten mutants like Morph (Changling in the Main Universe), were revive in this world where Apocalypse ruled and Magneto lead the X-men. Introduced in X-men: Alpha #1  by Scott Lobdell, Mark Waid, Roger Cruz and Steve Epting, Blink was a young pink/purple skinned mutant that was a subject of the Sugar Man and Dark Beast’s experiments. However she was rescued by that’s universe’s Sabretooth (nearly the exact opposite of the main universe) , who raised and trained her as her foster father. She would join that universe’s X-men against Apocalypse.

After that storyline ended with the main universe been restored, Blink was selected as a member of the inter-dimensional team of the Exiles. She would remain on the team throughout most of it’s various incarnations as they went through various worlds and tried to fix the timelines in those worlds. While the Exiles usually were various version of past and future X-men, she has recently began leading a new team of Exiles, consist of various heroes, such as Iron Lad and a Valkyrie that looks exactly like her MCU counterpart.

Out of all the Exiles and characters from Age of Apocalypse, Blink has been requested to be made a Marvel Legend for years, second maybe to the Exile’s Morph or Nocturne. With her recent reappearance in the comics, Hasbro has decided to give us a more classic version of her in an X-men wave.

Recommend Figure:Hasbro Marvel Legends X-men Caliban Wave Blink

  • Background:
    • This is the costume that Blink has worn the longest thus is her classic costume. You may notice that many of her costume looks similar but they have changed over the years.
  • Why you need it for your collection?:
    • This is one of those figure that is basically up to personal taste. If you collected the AOA Weapon X, Sabretooth and Sunfire, then this would look great standing next to them. There is also a few Exiles that have been made including Iron Lad, Pyslocke and again AOA Sabretooth. It would also make a perfect stand in for the main universe Blink as the likelihood of us getting that version is nearly null.
  • Does it need a remake?:
    • No.

Needs

Below you will find a gallery of suits that still need to be made. I have included what I think are the possibilities of them being made. Note that these are my personal opinions and not fact. Please let me know if I have missed anything.
