A war against AI? That would never happen in real life. Introduced in Avengers A.I. #1 (2013) by Sam Humphries and André Lima Araújo, a virus that Hank Pym had created to destroy Ultron had mutated into Dimitros, an AI that began to cyber terrorism. SHIELD tasked Monica Chang with taking this down this AI and she used her clearance to order Pym to aid her. Thus he formed his own Avengers team with Vision, Victor Mancha and a reprogrammed Doombot. During their first mission, they battle some highjacked SHIELD drone who seemed to be searching for someone. They managed to find her before the drones and this turned out to be Alexis the Protector, who would go onto join the team. Dimitros would later gain a body in the form of one of Iron man’s old armors which it’s later morphed into a new form. It’s goals were to destroy humanity and find Alexis. The team would eventually find his base and with the sacrifice of Victor, they managed to defeat it. The team would remain together for a while and would eventually rescue Victor again.
