Hey, my fellow Plastic Addicts. A few weeks ago, I did an Ideal Wave – Iron Man Retro wave. In that article I asked you what do you want the next theme to be Hulk (based on this line) or Ghost Rider (Which we already saw them starting with this Ghost Rider figure). The results were very close, with Hulk barely etching out the win. However, if you do want me to do a Ghost Rider retro style wave, Vote in the poll below.

Onto this wave though. Like I said when I did the Ideal Wave- Hulk Version (and to a lesser extent Ideal Wave – She-Hulk Version 1), the problem with Hulk and his supporting cast and villains is that most of them are deluxe size characters. No company would make an entire six figure wave of deluxe size figure…..But like I also said, this is a fantasy wave so screw it. Now before we go onto why I picked them just a few things. Yes a few of them are not designs from before the 90’s but in the Iron man wave, the Mark 20 was a modern and, in the Spider-man/X-men lines they slot modern figure in the whole time. Also, I was going to include Professor Hulk and the White/Pink swimsuit She-Hulk, but I included them in the last Ideal waves.

Theme of the Wave: World War Hulk

As for why I picked each (I know this shouldn’t be said but assume when I’m talking about the mold they can use, just assume it comes with a new head sculpt.):

• World War Hulk: For the main character of this wave, I decided to go with a remake with WWH. No real reason, just I have seen many people asking for this. Plus, I have already included many of his other forms in other waves. This would new a whole new sculpt.
• Rick Jones: If Rick Jones wasn’t there on the testing site, there would be no Hulk. But why his civilian look and not his Hulk, A-bomb or Immortal Abomination look? Well, simply because he can be used for multiple displays. You want him for Hul shelf. There you go. You want him for Avengers shelves. He is there with the founder. You want him for Cap shelf. Do I need to say it? This will use the Animated Peter Parker body.
• Red She-Hulk: For the sole female figure of this wave (or at least the sole Female action figure) we have Hulk’s wife, Betty Ross. However, instead of her just being a remake of the previous one, I decided to go with the version she began wearing in her own solo series. This of course will use the new She-Hulk bold mold with resculpted legs and upper torso.
• Doc Samson: Next, we move onto a character that has jumped on my list for a remake, mostly because we now have the perfect body mold for him, the green hair psychiatrist, Doc Samson. So, what is the body mold that I can see Doc Samson use? None other than the brand-new Luke Cage body mold from the upcoming 2-pack. I mean besides the head, the only thing they need to change is the lower legs.
• X-Ray and Vapor: I included Vector in the last She-Hulk wave and wanted to include another member in this wave. Now I could have picked Ironclad BUT I thought to make 2 figures in one, that being the brother and sister of the group, X-ray and Vapor. No. This isn’t a 2-pack in a wave. You see, because of how her powers work, Vapor is one of those characters that would be difficult to make into a figure. Instead, I suggest that she should be a pack-in accessories as a translucent green solid piece, that just gives the impression of a cloud woman. She should also have a peg that you can use to slot into the back of X-ray so that it would look like she was floating about him. As for X-ray, he can use the Vulcan mold and be made in a translucent pink plastic.
• Red King: Now onto a character that was supposed to be release LOOONNNGGG ago, Red King of the Planet Hulk saga. For those that don’t know, we were supposed to get a Red King with the Fin Fang Foom wave but that and several others, were scrapped. Well, Hasbro enough time has passed, so it’s time to finally dust up that mold, redesign it and finally release it. This of course would require a whole new Sculpt.
