This is why you should recycle. Introduced in New Mutants #86 (1989) by Louise Simonson and Rob Liefeld, ADAM Unit Zero, or just Zero, was a damage robot created by the Askani but found by Stryfe. Stryfe reprogramed the robot, using the robot as his bodyguard and transport. He would join Stryfe when they escaped into the Prime Universe. Stryfe would use Zero to form his Mutant Liberation Front, allowing the terrorists to teleport to various places instantly and they would battle the New Mutants (later X-Force). When the MLF was defeated, Zero was capture and deactivated.

He would be found by Tyler Dayspring, Cable’s son, who was posing as Mr. Tolliver. When a bunch of mercenaries, including Deadpool, were searching for the ultimate weapon, they found out it was Zero who reactivated himself and attacked the mercs. He would join Tyler but wanted to gain true sentients so left Tyler and began working with Douglock. The pair was attacked by androids sent by Stryfe but were rescued by Excalibur. Zero sacrificed itself to save the team but not before transferring his mind to Douglock for safekeeping.

Zero is a lesser-known character that few have heard of. However, he would receive a figure as part of the X-men 60th anniversary line.

    • This is Zero as he usually appears. The circle on his face and chest are his unit number.
  • Why do you need it for your collection?
    • This is not a character many people would want but if you do you would need him to stand next to Stryfe, as a member of the MLF, and ally to Excalibur or on the X-men/Force villain’s shelf.
  • Does it need a remake?
    • No.
