Wild Child’s nature has been a weird one. Sometimes he is wild, animal like, sometimes he is heroic or sometimes he is a heartless merc. Introduced in Alpha Flight #1 (1983) by John Byrne, Kyle’s freakish mutation caused his parents to kick him out of his home. He was later captured by the Secret Empire and experimented on. He was injected with the merc Wyre’s DNA which cause Kyle to become wild and animalistic. Wyre later destroyed the Secret Empire and freed Wild Child.

Kyle was later given to Department H and was placed in the Gamma Flight training group where he was mentored by Wolverine before Wolverine left to join the X-men. Eventually The Flight program was disband and Kyle joined up with the evil Omega Flight but they were defeated by Alpha Flight. He was captured but escaped and went on a rampage, killing many. He was eventually defeated by Wolverine. He eventually was recruited into a new Gamma Flight, which was sponsored by the government. The team eventually clashed with the independent Alpha Flight but the 2 teams eventually became one and Alpha Flight was made the Canadian premier team.

After going on another rampage and gaining the help of Nemesis, Kyle was eventually “cured” of his animalistic nature. However he feared his past would come back to haunt him and hid his identity as the new Weapon Omega. He later gained a more human appearance and made peace with his past, taking the name Wildheart. He even began a relationship with Aurora but his began reverting back to his animal-like form and hid his appearance from her and ran away. He would eventually join X-factor but clashed with Sabretooth. He left the team when he began for mutate further. He was eventually given to the Weapon X program and was experimented on further. He began to loss his human mind and became more beast then man. He would be sent to recruit many mutants including his former girlfriend, Aurora. However, when he witnessed her becoming romantically involved with the Director, he joined Agent Jackson Brent in trying to overthrow the Director. He would remain on the team until it mysteriously disappeared.

It would later be revealed that he had become an agent of Romulus. He was sent to attack Wolverine alongside Omega Red. However, Omega Red attack Kyle and eventually punctured his chest, dropping him in a vat of molten steel. He was believed killed but eventually returned alive after House of X/Age of X, where he joined the Havok lead Hellions.

Wild Child hasn’t had many figures over the year. Hell the only reason I made this page is because his newest appearance in the Hellion books (which at the time of writing this is 2 months away) is exactly like the AOA figure that’s coming out. It could be possible that that version is the AOA character in the prime universe but for now let assume that he is the same person.

Hellions

Recommend Figure:  Hasbro Marvel Legends X-men Age of Apocalyspe ? Wave Wild Child

  • Background:
    • After the House of X crossover, that attempted to streamline the X-men timelines, many characters returned from the dead. Havok set up his own team of Hellions with Wild Child being a member. For some reason, he has begun wearing his AOA costume.
  • Why you need it for your collection?:
    • Ironcally we have 4 members of this team now with this being the fourth, so if you want to start making that team by using the AOA version you can. Otherwise I recommend just using the figure for your AOA display.
  • Does it need a remake?:
    • No.

Needs

Below you will find a gallery of suits that still need to be made. I have included what I think are the possibilities of them being made. Note that these are my personal opinions and not fact. Please let me know if I have missed anything.
