Hey, my fellow Plastic Addicts. I have two announcements to make today, a good one and a bad one. Let’s get the bad one out of the way first. It is with a heavy heart that I have come to the decision to go ahead with the “Best of Marvel Legends” for this year. This wasn’t an easy decision because I LOVE doing them. I love looking back at the year and seeing what was made and seeing what you guys loved as well. But with Doomsday month, and after that Your Friendly Neighborhood Spider-man month after that, I won’t have time to do it. There is also the fact that every year, there are some people and pretty much take the fun out of it, you guys know who I mean, and with the constant rising prices, the Distinguished Competition reveals and more importantly, for my own sanity, I said I would take a break this year. I hope it will be back next year but only if I feel up to it.

Now, for the good news. As you can see from the title above, next week we are starting Avengers: Doomsday month. For those that are new to this site, every time there is a lead up to a movie, tv series or cartoon, we have a Missing Legends each week as well as looking at teams that the main character, or other characters in the movie, have been part of. For teams, since the main character and main focus of the marketing has been on Dr. Doom, he will be getting the focus on the teams I will be doing. For the Missing Legends, that is actually harder. You see this movie is combining the four major teams of the Marvel Universe, Avengers, X-men, Fantastic Four and Thunderbolts (Yes. I watched Thunderbolts* as well and know what they are in the MCU but work with me here.) I can’t just decided on focusing on the Avengers so I decided to have a bit of fun. Below you will find three poll that contain randomly selected characters from the Avengers, the X-men and the Thunderbolts and one for enemies of the Fantastic Four (Because there is only a handful of character that have been a member remaining and I want a villain for this month). You guys know what you have to do. You don’t have to vote in all of them so vote for what you want. You have until Monday to vote.
