He lead the next generations of X-men….. until his death. He got better though. Introduced in X-Men (Vol. 2) #36 by Scott Lobdell, Fabian Nicieza and Chris Bachalo, Everett was one of many young mutants attack by the Phalanx but was rescued by Emma Frost, Banshee, Jubilee and Sabretooth. Together with this misfit team, they rescued the rest of the kidnapped mutants from the Phalanx, at the sarcrifice of the 616 Blink. Emma Frost donated her Massachusetts school to Xavier and, along with Banshee, began training the teenagers as the next generation of X-men as Generationx. Synch would become the team leader alongside former X-men, Jubilee. He would also start a relationship with Monet, after she helped him rid himself of her brother’s, Emplate, influence. However, Emma Frost’s sister, Adrienne, began stirring up anti-Mutant hate in the school when the non-mutant students, learned that there were training the team. When the parents came to take their children away, Adrienne had set up bombs around the school. When Synch found a bomb, he used his powers to save the rest of the students and use his body to hold back the explosion, killing him.

After being brought back during Necrosha, he would be resurrected by the Five in the Krakoa era. He would be selected alongside Wolverine (Kinney) and Darwin to capture Serafina in the Vault. They became trapped in the Vault and had to spend centuries there, with Synch using his powers to copy Laura’s powers. They became romantically involved but were separated. They would try to flee the Vault but Laura told him to leave without her. Synch was eventually killed but not before sending a message to Xavier about what they learnt. He and Laura, who was also believed killed, were resurrected by the Five.

Synch and this new Laura, were elected into the X-men during the Hellfire Gala. They would battle many villains like High Evolutionary. Synch would try and approach Laura but she kept pushing him away. She eventually step down from the X-men while he remained on. Forge eventually went to the Vault to rescue what he believed to be Darwin only to find the real Laura there. When she was reunited with Synch, she jumped into his arms and kissed him. Synch and this Laura, calling herself Talon now, were elected to remain on the X-men team but they were attacked by Orchis, who, along with Nimrod, began killing the mutant nation. Synch, along with others, managed to escape into the Morlock tunnels, where they began thier assualt on Orchis. They tried to get High Evolutionary’s help but he disintegrated Laura’s body, killing her. Synch was left with her memories thanks to Marvel Girl.
