The third person to take on the moniker of Spymaster. Introduced in Iron Man #254 (1990) by Bob Layton, Nathan Lemon was a student of Taskmaster. He took up the role of Spymaster after he won the rights to the name in a contest. He would use the previous Spymaster’s death to spook character like Silver Sable and other that believed that the first Spymaster was dead. He actually managed to gain Iron Man’s secret identity (this was when IM was still believed to be another person then Tony Stark and his bodyguard) and tried to used this knowledge to assassinate Tony Stark, but was stopped by Black Widow. He later began working for the Mandarin before being killed by Sinclair Abbot, who took up the mantle.
Not many people even realised that this version and the first 2 are different people. Since he wore the same costume as the previous versions, he got only one figure in the Black Widow Crimson Dynamo Wave.
