The simple mind clone of Miles began his brother in every sense of the word. Introduced in Miles Morales: Spider-Man #25 (2021) by Saladin Ahmed and Carmen Carnero, Shift was one of three clones that was created by the Assessor that was created as weapon. Shift ever shifting form was considered a failure by the Assessor but he and his brothers, Selim and Mindswipper, eventually escaped. They would later kidnap a scientist in order for him to find a cure for them. He would later encountered Miles and Peter Parker’s Spider-man when they were investigating who was committing crimes disguised as Miles. He attacked Miles and his brothers joined in until he was saved by Peter. The brother’s feld but were later found by Miles. The brother capture him and while Selim went to killed Miles’ mother, Shift talked to Miles and freed him.

Selim kidnapped Miles’ sister, Billie, but Shift managed to save her. Selim attacked Shift but Mindswipper stopped him with him and Selim dying in an explosions. Shift was welcomed by Miles and his sister as family. It was later discovered that a sneeze from Billie had cure Shift of his degeneration. Shift would eventually have his revenge against the Assessor and along with Miles, traveled across the multiverse for a while. They would eventually encounter Ultimatum, the 616 version of Miles. This encounter sent them to a universe, where Selim had won. They helped the rebel stop Selim and would eventually return to their own universe.

  • Background:
    • When they went to rescue Billy, Shift used his powers to transform into another version of Miles. When Selim dropped Billie, he went to rescued her allowing Miles deal with Selim.
  • Why do you need it for your collection?
    • You probably got this for Miles but you can probably use it for Shift if you want to recreate the scene about. I have no doubt that we will see a version of him in his more massive form eventually.
  • Does it need a remake?
    • No.
