I wonder if she still turns people into pigs if they interrupts her parties? Introduced in Eternals #3 (1976) by Jack Kirby, the Eternal Sersi is the same Circes in Greek myth. She would be one of the few Eternals to continue to interact with humanity through the centuries, moving constantly in order for people not to discover who she was. She would eventually settle in New York where she was found by fellow Eternal Ikaris, who she helped stop the Celestials from destroying Earth during the Fourth Host, an event to judge the citizen of Earth and whether or not they should be allowed to exist.
After becoming friendly with a number of the team and with fellow Eternal Gilgamesh being heavily injured, Sersi volunteered to take his place on the Avengers. However, after participating with the Brethen, a cross species Uni-mind forbidden by the Eternals, her personality began to change. In order to help her, she bonded with Black Knight and the two would begin a relationship. However, Black Knight was also in love with Crystal, which caused strain on her mind. When the Proctor, an alternate universe version of Black Knight, began hunting down all version of Sersi as she caused the destruction of his universe, she would kill Proctor with his own sword. In order to protected then universe from herself, she would exile herself to another universe alongside Black Knight. The pair would join the Ultraverse, the former Malibu comics universe that was purchased by Marvel. The couple would eventually find themselves back in their own universe and went their separate ways, with Sersi returning to the Eternals.
Sersi, and most of the Eternals, would eventually lose their memories and began living as normal humans. Sersi became a party planner, and it was later learnt that fellow Eternals Sprite was behind their memory loss. While initially refusing to return to her old life, she would later regain her powers and would rekindle a relationship with Makkari, who she moved in with. However, Makkari was chosen by the Dreaming Celestial to help humanity against the Horde. This caused a strain on Sersi relationship with Makkari and she planned to help her love against the Horde. She failed and Makkari was killed but she would use her powers and her life to revive him and, with the help from the Fulcrum, he would defeat the Horde.
Sersi would later be revived and returned to the Eternal, only to learn the dark truth of their race. They would onlybe created to cultivate humanity for the Celestials in order for humanity to be used against the Horde. This led to the race to be driven mad and they would kill each other. She of course would return and would aid her friend against the mad titan, Thanos. Because of this event, the Eternals would begin trying to make peace with their long-time enemies the Deviants. During the Judgement Day arc, which saw Avengers’ Mountain base Celestial being revived and passing judgement on Earth, Sersi sacrificed her life to stop the Celestial, Progenitor, by revealing the secret behind their constant resurrection was that a random human would be killed and use their life was used to revive themselves, though this was not by their own will. Because she was destroyed by the Progenitor, she (so far) has no chance of returning.
Out of all the Eternals, Sersi is probably the most famous member, mostly because of her long tenure in the Avengers. She would receive a figure as part of the Hasbro Marvel Legends the Avengers: Beyond Earth’s Mightiest Heroes 60th Anniversary 2-pack with Black Knight.
90’s Avengers

Recommend Figure: Hasbro Marvel Legends the Avengers: Beyond Earth’s Mightiest Heroes 60th Anniversary 2-pack – Sersi with Black Knight.
- Background:
- After having a cross-species Uni-mind with the Brethen, Sersi personality began to change. She became more aggressive and would take near brutal measures against her enemies. As if to demonstrate this change in attitude, she would begin wearing this red outfit as opposed to her more classic green one.
- Why do you need it for your collection?
- If you want a comic version of Sersi, this is one you may want to get for your Eternals collection. However, this one in particular you may want to get for your Avengers collection as it was her signature look for most of the time, she was a member of that time.
- Does it need a remake?
- No.
