Brother, am I right? Introduced in Miles Morales: Spider-Man #24 (2021) by Saladin Ahmed and Carmen Carnero, as part of Miles’ own clone saga, Selim , along with his brother Shift and Mindspinner, are clones of Miles Morales that were created and rapidly raised the Assessor. He escaped with his brothers and they began trying to find a way to live. They kidnapped a scientist and forced him to try and find a cure for them but Selim killed the scientist when he could cure them.

He would eventually encounter Miles when he had to rescue Shift from Miles’ and Parker’s Spider-man. Miles followed them but he was beaten until Parker rescued him. None the less, Miles would find thier hide out but broke what they believed was a cure. He was beaten and webbed him. He tried to plead with them but Selim said he would kill his mother. Pretending to be Miles, Selim beat Miles’ father and kidnapped his sister, Billie. Miles and him fought with Shift switching sides and Selim killing himself, when he believed his brothers’ had betrayed him.

  • Background:
    • Out of the three clones, Selim looks the most like Miles, even down to his costume. the only main difference between the costumes is the red bands on the outside of Miles’ chest webbing is black instead and he can produce daggers/stingers in his hands.
