Family, right? Can’t live with them, can’t kill them. Introduced by Ultimate Comics Spider-Man #1 (2011) Brian Michael Bendis and Sara Pichelli, Aaron Davis is the younger brother to Jefferson Morales (Jeff took his wife’s surname) and uncle to Miles Morales. Along with Jefferson, he was a burglar and career criminal. Jeff would reform after becoming a father while Aaron would continue on, eventually becoming the Ultimate Universe’s Prowler. This led the brothers to become estranged and he steal one of the spiders from Oscorp that was injected with Oz (the same formula that gave Peter Parker his power.) He took it home but the spider escaped and bite Miles. After being imprisoned and later escaped, he heard about the origins of Peter Parker from the Thinkerer, and realised Miles may have gotten powers as well. He killed Thinkerer to keep Miles’ secret and went to visit his nephew. He blackmailed him into getting revenge against the Scorpion. After they defeated the crime boss, he tried to force his nephew to work with him again but a fight ensued, which resulted in Aaron’s own equipment backfiring on him and killing him.

But after the Secret Wars, he was reborn (along with many of Miles’ family and friends) in the Prime universe with no memories of his previous life. He at some point acquired an Iron Spider suit and formed a new Sinister Six with Bombshell (Lori), Sandman, Spot, Electro (Frye) and Hobgoblin (Kingsley). They wanted to steal a SHIELD decommissioned Helicarrier. Miles would find out about this from his friend Lana. Miles assembled the Champions to stop them but they stole the Helicarrier with Miles on board. After meeting with the buyer, Lucia Von Barda, Miles tried to convince his uncle to change but a fight with the Latverian guard cause Aaron to fall overboard. Believed dead, he would return and told Miles he was right, selling the suit back to Tony Stark and using the money to start a new life, even refusing to join Tombstone’s team.

But he had no choice but to return to crime when Miles was kidnapped. Working with his brother, he went to Ceres Goldstein, an arms dealer, but couldn’t afford the payment so agreed to for her as Prowler again. They rescued Miles and began repairing their relationship. After failing to commit an assassination, his boss, Ultimatum, the 616 Miles Morales, put a bounty on his head, but Ceres convince Ultimatum to spare him along as Aaron continued working for him. However, Ulitmatum used Aaron to tried and force Miles and his family back to the Ultimate universe. This resulted in a fight where it looked like Aaron died again when Ultimatum, his henchmen and Aaron were sent into a machine to travel the multiverse. In truth, he arrived in a new reality ruled by Miles’ clone, Selim. He would work with the resistance until his nephew and his other clone, Shift, arrived and helped defeat Selim. He would return to the Prime universe and would later celebrated Miles scholarship.
