He is a floating helmet. Introduced in Nova (Vol. 4) #18 (2008) by Dan Abnett, Andy Lanning, Wellinton Alves and Geraldo Borges, Qubit was one of many recruits that the Xandarian Worldmind recruited after the Corps were destroyed in the Annihilation wave. He was one of the group that went to rescued Nova from a Skrull invasion during the Secret Invasion and would become involved in the battle against the Shi’Ar in the War of Kings, Serpent Society and the once Worldmind-controlled Ego.

This is a very little known character that was included as a pack-in with the Walgreens’ Exclusive Nova.

• Background:
  • Soon after Richard Rider returned to Earth following the Annihilation event, he went to Project PEGASUS. There he was attacked by Skrulls but was rescued by a number of new recruits including Qubit. It’s unknown if he has another form or if he combined with the helmet.
• Why you need it for your collection?:
  • If you are getting the Nova, you will get this. Beyond that, the only real reason to get it is to build up you Nova Corps army. Otherwise it can be skipped.
• Does it need a remake?:
  • No.
