So this is what happens if Mystique actually raises Kurt. Introduced in X-Men: Alpha #1 (1994) by Scott Lobdell, Mark Waid, Roger Cruz and Steve Epting, this version of Kurt is actually anti-religion unlike is Prime counterpart, due to a scarring experience as a child. He was one of many mutants that joined Magneto’s X-men in an effort to bring down Apocalypse regime. He would act as an in-between the X-men and Mystique’s friend Destiny. When Bishop explained how this universe came to be, Magneto sent Kurt to find Destiny to confirm Bishop’s tale. After a series of adventures they joined Magneto in the assault on Apocalypse’s castle.
He would remain with the X-men as they tried to rebuild the US. When Magneto was revealed to be being blackmailed into doing Sinister’s bidding, he would join the X-men in their assault of the AOA’s version of the Sinister Six. When Weapon X (Logan) was transformed into the latest Apocalypse, the X-men would team up with the Uncanny X-force to stop him and would later travel to the Prime universe to help the X-force fight their own new Apocalypse (Warren). He would remain in the Prime universe to hunt down the AOA villains that were in the Prime Universe like Dark Beast and the X-men betrayer, Iceman. He would later betray the team when he rescued Mystique, a member of the Brotherhood. He would later try and track down Dark Beast to try and return to their own world but would die trying to seal the Exterminators in his dimension.
There are two people that wanted a AOA Nightcrawler, those that want him for their AOA collection and those that wanted him for their Uncanny X-Force collections. While we haven’t gotten an AOA version yet, we are getting a Uncanny X-Force version as part of some form of set in 2025.
