Sometimes one person is a bit too many. Introduced in Giant-Size Fantastic Four #4 (1975), by Len Wein, Chris Claremont and John Buscema, James Madrox, from a young age, had difficulty controlling his powers and had to wear a special suit. When the suit started to malfunction, he panic and came into conflict with the Fantastic Four but was helped by Prof. X. His suit was repaired by Reed Richard and Xavier, he was invited to join the X-men but declined. He went to Muir Island, where he became a lab assistant to Moira MacTaggert. There, he first met Siryn, who he became close with. After he was possessed by Shadow King and rescued, he joined the government sponsor X-factor.
While in the X-factor, he became best friends with Strong Guy and the pair became the group’s comedy duo. After the team disbanded, he returned to Muir Island. He later joined Banshee’s X-Corps team where he works as the team’s support staff and then in the European branch of X-Corporation. He left that team after the death of Darkstar by the living bacteria Weapon XII. He would later win big in a game show and used the money to set up his own team of X-Factor’s Investigation. After dying and resurrecting a few times, he retired and moved to his family farm with his lover Layla Miller. He was recently seen dying from Terrigen Mist poisoning on Muir Island but it is unknown if this was him or one of his doubles.
Ever since the first Army builder that Hasbro made, the Hydra Soldier I believe, people have been asking for Multiple Man. Whether it was the more current Investigation or the Classic X-factor, he has been one of the people that most wanted to army build. Now we finally have him, even though he is only packed 1 per case. He would receive another figure as part of the second X-men Retro wave.
Original

Recommend Figure: Hasbro Marvel Legends X-men Retro Wave 2 – Multiple Man
- Background:
- When he first appeared, he was portrayed as a villain, clashing with the F4 but Xavier helped diffused the situation. He would be sent to Muir Island, where he would stay for many years as the security head.
- Why do you need it for your collection?
- If you want a more classic version, this is the one to get. It will be needed for the X-men, particularly Muir Island team as well as a villain for the F4.
- Does it need a remake?
- No.
Government Sponsored X-Factor

Recommend Figure: Hasbro Marvel Legends X-men Apocalypse Wave Multiple Man
- Background:
- When Valerie Cooper built a new Government Sponsored team of X-factor lead by Havok, Madrox joined the team. While the team each had their own version, most of the team wore similar costumes with their own variant. This is Madrox’s.
- Why you need it for your collection?:
- This is going to be a highly sought after figure to Army Build so I recommend picking up at least 3 for your collection if you see them. It is need for you X-men collection. He also looks to the first of the X-Factor team to be made.
- Does it need a remake?:
- No.
