Mysterios cousin planned to carry on his legacy as the only known female Jack O’Lantern. Introduced in Spider-Man: Mysterio Manifesto #1 by Tom DeFalco and Lee Weeks, Maguire Beck is the cousin of Mysterio, who at the time had commit suicide following his battle with Daredevil. Maguire began devoting her life to right the wrongs that she felt her cousin had recieved. She took the mantle of Jack O’Lantern before teaming up with Daniel Berkhart to become Mad Jack. Her and Berkhart would switch places as Mad Jack. She tormented Daredevil, and J. Jonah Jameson. When Berkhart took up the mantle of Mysterio, using her tech, she returned to be Jack O’Lantern. Her identity was later revealed and she was arrested. It is believed she was killed by the Crime Master’s Jack O’Lantern.

We haven’t gotten a figure advertised as Maguire but you can use the Spider-man’s Retro card version of Jack O’Lantern as her Mad Jack form.

  • Background:
    • In order to get revenge for her cousin, Maguire developed tech and became the Jack O’Lantern. She would eventually begin switching with Berkhart, with each of them using the identity of Mad Jack to torment the people who they blamed for her cousib death.
  • Why do you need it for your collection?
    • You probably won’t be using this as Mad Jack but if you do, you need it for a Spider-man and DD villains shelf. Also I recommend using the Retro’s Black Cat’s cat as Maguire, her robotic companion as you see above.
  • Does it need a remake?
    • No.
