I wonder if his head ever gets hot. Introduced in Captain America #396 by Mark Gruenwald and Rik Levins, Steven Levin was a member of Red Skull’s Skeleton Crew who fought Cap and Spider-man. He was also an enforcer of the Golem and frequent partner of Blackwing. He disappeared soon after and returned when he was hired by RAID to flood London with Jackhammer and Shockwave, only to be stopped by Union Jack. He was arrested and deported back to the US where he was made to join the Thunderbolts during the Civil War to hunt down unregistered heroes.

He was later shot and killed by the Punisher when Levins was chasing Spider-man through the sewers. He was sent to Hell and became part of Lucifer’s soul. Ghost Rider destroyed him. He was later revived by Jackel (Reilly) but escaped and returned to crime. After fighting Deadpool when he stole millions from a ship, He began working for the Foreigner as part of a team of Jack O’Lanterns. They battle Spider-man and Theresa Parker and would later work for Chance to steal Spider-man’s Web shooter.

This version of Jack O’Lanterns was given a figure as part of Toybiz’s The Amazing Spider-man (Classics) line. However, it was given the name Mad Jack, which was a completely different character.

Second Costume

Recommend Figure: Toybiz The Amazing Spider-man series 18 – Mad Jack

  • Background:
    • Shortly after his initial appearance, Levins’ would upgrade his costume into this. He would return to the classic version soon after but this would be considered his signature look.
  • Why do you need it for your collection?
    • If you don’t mind the action feature (light up head and throwing arm) as well as the inaccurate head, then would make a nice figure to add to your Spider-man, Cap, Ghost Rider or Deadpool rogues gallery.
  • Does it need a remake?
    • Yes. A new figure with a more accurate design would be great.

Needs

Below you will find a gallery of suits that still need to be made. I have included what I think are the possibilities of them being made. Note that these are my personal opinions and not facts. Please let me know if I have missed anything.
