Okay, so maybe having Uncle Ben not die wouldn’t be a good thing. Introduced in Amazing Spider-Man Annual #38 (2011) by John Layman, Lee Garbett and Al Barrionuevo, in this universe, Uncle Ben was never killed by the burglar. Instead he helped Peter train to become a better hero under the name Amazing Spider as well as setting up a successful business called Parker Technologies. With the encouragement of Ben, he created a portal to bring other Spiders to his universe and used his tech to drain them of their powers to make himself stronger. Thus he brought the Prime version of Peter into his universe making him believe it was an accident.

Feeling drained from the transfer, Prime Spidey brought Amazing Spider to his mansion. Peter would then look at the Amazing Spider’s world and seeing the difference, believing this was a perfect world. He would visit Ben and talked to him. However, Ben would later give him tea with a sedative. Prime Spidey woke up strapped to a table near a machine to drain Prime Spidey of his powers. Prime Spidey woke argue with Ben about what they were doing and Amazing Spider began to realize that what they were doing was wrong. When Ben was about to use the machine, Amazing Spider jump in front of the machine and had his powers drained, seemingly killing him.

However, when Spidey, Deadpool and Hulk somehow wound in his universe, it was revealed that that he was in a coma with his soul trapped in hell. When Dr. Banner, this universe’s Sorcerer Supreme, died fighting his alter-ego, the Infernal Hulk, he freed Parker’s soul, which returned to his body and transformed him into Ghost Spider. He worked together with the trio and defeated the Infernal Hulk. He would use his tech to send them back to their universe.

This version of Spider-man, particularly his Ghost Spider form, has been a fan favourite and has appeared in multiple games and other media. In particular, he was a skin in the Insomniac game and thus he would receive a figure from that game. It is called Spirit Spider due to the fact that Spider-Gwen is now using that codename.
