This is why you don’t make an enemy of Dr. Doom. Introduced in Iron Man #101 (1977) by Bill Mantlo and George Tuska, Bram Velsing was Latvarian scientist that would denounce Doom’s reign. In revenge, Doom fused a mask onto his face causing Bram to flee Latvaria. He would be saved by the Children, creations of Victor Frankenstein, who nursed him back to help. He would later encounter the black winged horse that the villainous Black Knight used. Using the horse, his scientific mind and his horrifying appearance, he swore revenge against Doom as the Dreadknight.

He would try and steal Frankenstein’s notes but was stop by Victoria Frankenstein, Iron Man and Frankenstein’s Monster. He was later recruited by Morgan LeFay and her son Modred in order to fight the heroic Black Knight. When Doom was presumed dead following Onslaught, he tried to take over Latvaria but was stopped by Spider-man, Silver Sable and her Wild Pack. He would later be forced to work for Doom and was sent to attack Iron Man.

Dreadknight is more famous for being one of the minions of Mandarin in the 90’s TV show than he is as a character in the comics. However, he was one of the characters fan have request. He would recieve a figure as part of the SDCC The Raft box set.
