The most radically different changed member of the Royal Family. Introduced in Fantastic Four #45 (1965) by Stan Lee and Jack Kirby, Triton is the older brother of Karnak. He was exposed to the Terrigen mist at one years old but the mist transformed his body into his fish/reptile appearance, now unable to breathe above water without a special apparatus. This transformation cause his parents to refuse to allow Karnak to undergo the Terrigen transformation. He would spend most of his time near the coast of Attilan but the constant worry of discovery caused Black Bolt to move the city over and over. At some point he became friends with Namor, a fellow aquatic being.

He would travel with the rest of the Inhuman royal family in search of the missing Medusa, where he would encounter the Fantastic Four. He was trapped with the rest of the Inhumans by the dome Maximus created around the city. He would be freed when Black Bolt used his voice to destroy the doom. Later Triton was sent to the Negative Zone when Crystal sought aid from Black Bolt to rescue Reed Richards. They fought Blastaar and the Frightful Four but he was injured and placed in a water tank to heal. Later, Triton would warn the Avengers about the Kree involvement during the Kree/Skrull war and would later join Namor’s Deep Six team. He was later involved in the mission to rescue Black Bolt from the Skrulls during the Secret Invasion and was later believed killed during the Death of the Inhumans arc.
