This reads like I’m watching a old Disney movie. Introduced in Thorย #364 (1985) by Walter Simonson, Simon was a human that was transformed into a frog by a mystic. Taking the name Puddlegulp, he help King Gulpwort lead his army against the rats. During the war, he met Thor, who had been transformed into a frog by Loki. Working together with Thor, they beat back the rats and helped Thor find Mjolnir, which Thor lift and became a frog version of Thor. They help him defeat Loki’s magic and turn him back to normal. After Thor left, Puddlegulp found a sliver of Mjolnir and struck it against some rock becoming Throg, the Frog of Thunder.
However, we wasn’t seen for many years, until he help rescue Jane Foster. He would later the Asgardians of the Galaxy and helped defeat Malekith in the War of the Realms. When Thor’s hammer went missing, he asked Throg to help find it, with Throg forming the Pet Avengers to aid him. Later, Donald Blake arrived on Earth to kill all the Thors, with Throg being one of his targets but Throg was ready for him thanks a warning from Lockjaw.
