One of the few Ultimate Team-Up stories that became canon. Introduced in Ultimate Marvel Team Up #10 (2001) by Brian Michael Bendis and John Totleben, Dr. Curt Connor was a former Stark Industries employee that lost his arm in an unknown event. Like in the Prime universe, he worked to try and restore it and when his sponsor threatened to cut his funds, he injected himself with his formula. This of course turned him into the Lizard. Hearing about an urban legend about the Lizard, Spider-man went into the sewer to search for him. The Lizard attacked him but was turned back to normal by the Man-Thing.

He would later research Richard Parker’s biological suit but helped Spider-man destroy it but part of it was stolen by Eddie Brock. He would later take some of Peter’s blood which used to create this universe’s Carnage, which killed Gwen Stacy. He surrendered to the police but was recruited by SHIELD, where he helped the Gwen Stacy clone readjust to normal life.

This version of the Lizard was release as part of Toybiz’s Spider-man classics line.
