What is Spider-man was a killer? Introduced in What If? Spider-Man Vs. Wolverine #1 (2008) by Jeff Parker, Paul Tobin and Clayton Henry. this universe branches off from the time that Spider-man was chasing Wolverine, who at the time wanted to help a friend who was in pain in her own life. Not wanting for this to happen, Spider-man attacked Wolverine but in the insuing battle the woman snuck up behind Spider-man, who believe it to be Wolverine, struck her at full force killing. In the Prime universe, this caused him great trauma causing him to flee to back America. However in this universe, he would remained behind, trained under Wolverine and became an assassin.

He left and divorced his wife, Mary Jane, and began a relationship with Alex, a woman who looked similar to Gwen Stacy. He would later be recruited by Superior Spider-man and join his effort to stop the Inheritor from hunting down Spider Totems accross the multiverse. When the Spider-Army came to recruit them, they were attacked by Daemos and Assassin Spider-man was killed. He would later be revived along with many Spider-heroes.

While he had a short appearance in the comics, his design, which is based on Alex Ross’ original design for the first Spider-man movie, has become a fan favourite. He would recieve a figure as part of the fourth Spider-man vintage line.
