Silver Sable not only uses her mercenary work for money, but also to hunt down war criminals (usually Nazi’s) and to fund her country, Symkaria and her people, which she rules. Introduced in Amazing Spider-Man #265 (1985) by Tom Defalco and Ron Frenz, Silver is the daughter of a Nazi hunter and witness her mother’s death that hands of a war criminal, which cause her hair to go white/silver. She then begged her father to train her to hunt Nazi and set up Silver Sable International, which she used to sell her team, the Wild Pack’s services. She first encountered Spider-man when her team were trying to capture Black Fox, an old thief. Even though they started on opposite sides, the two gain a deep respect for each other and became close friends. She even set up a team of some of Spider-man’s former villains turned heroes, like Sandman, Prowler and Rocket Racer as the Outlaw’s.

She also began working with other heroes including her father’s old friend Wolverine, Captain America, Luke Cage and many others. She was also involved with the Shadowland arc where she teamed up with Misty Knight and Paladin. This eventually lead to her becoming one of many heroes working for Misty (when she was going by Control), where she helped stop Baron Brimstone from distributing Demon Drugs. When Doc Ock trick the world into thinking he had given them free solar energy, she was one of the first to believe Spider-man when he said Ock was up to something and the rest of the world didn’t believe him and to take Ock and his Sinister Six down. She was believed killed when they attack Ock’s base and she was fighting the Rhino. Her death really shook Spider-man and was one of the reason Black Widow believe he had turned darker when Ock took over his body. However she was alive and had gone underground, hunting down her enemies. However, as she left her country without a ruler, Countess Karkov had taken it over and began working with Norman Osborn. They forced the country’s people into factories to create Goblin weapons to sell to terrorist. Spider-man found out she was alive when she tried to kill Osborn and the two worked together to free her country at the price of Parker Industries receiving condemnation for breaking international law. However, Sable remained Spidey’s ally and one of his most trusted friends.

Silver Sable has been one of the most requested characters that people wanted in a Spider-man wave for a long time. Hasbro did tease her way back when they revealed the Ultimate Green Goblin wave, when they were still doing swap figures with the same parts. She was teased to be the swap figure of Black Cat, but instead we got Spider-Girl (Ayana). She came in the Kingpin wave, which ironically has Black Cat in it was well.

Recommend Figure: Hasbro Marvel Legends Spider-man Kingpin wave Silver Sable

  • Background:
    • Silver’s costume generally are some kind of skin tight silver bodysuit with straps and pockets on various parts of her body. The design has usually remained the same with various artist given their own version of it.
  •  Why you need it for your collection?:
    • This is a highly needed character for many collections but for mostly Spider-man collection, especially if you want to build the Outlaws, with Sandman and Prowler also being members. She was also a member of the Heroes for Hire, with Misty and Paladin, so if you have those you could put her in there. She could also work with Cap, Wolverine, Daredevil, Venom and many more.
  • Does it need a remake?:
    • No.

Below you will find a gallery of suits that still need to be made. I have included what I think are the possibilities of them being made. Note that these are my personal opinions and not fact. Please let me know if I have missed anything.
