Wow. She really goes through boyfriends named Peter alot. Introduced in X-Men #129 (1979) by Chris Claremont and John Byrne, Kitty Pryde was just a normal teenage when her powers activated while she spelt and fell through the floor. This notified both the X-men and Hellfire Club who both sent people to recruit her. She met with the X-men but while out with Storm and others, she was kidnapped by the Club. She used her powers and escaped, going to the other X-men to save the X-men. Despite her parents objecting to sending her to Xavier’s school for her safety, Jean Grey used her powers to changed there minds. Kitty wouldn’t join the X-men until after Jean Grey (Phoenix) had died during the Phoenix Saga and Cyclops had left the team.
She was given the name Sprite by Storm and would developed a crush on Colossus. On her first night at the mansion, she defending it from attacks from a group of demons. She would later be kidnapped by Ogun but was rescued and trained by Wolverine, taking the named Shadowcat. She would remain with the team for many years but during the Morlock Massacre, she was locked in her phasing form and sent to Muir Island. After the X-men were believed dead, she would become one of the founding members of Excalibur. She would remain in this team, only briefly leaving to work with SHIELD, and had a brief relationship Pete Wisdom.
She would eventually return to the X-men but quickly left after the death of Colossus. She would go to college but was eventually visited by the X-Treme X-men, resulting in her having to fight the likes of William Stryker and Elias Bogan. A few years later, after Xorn’s attack on New York, she was hired to become a teacher at the new Xavier School, as a member of the Astonishing Team. When the team went to Breakworld to prevent them from destroying Earth, she used her powers to phase a giant bullet through earth but because she would die if she came out of her phasing form, she had to travel with this bullet as it travelled through space. She was eventually rescued by Magneto but was stuck in her phasing form for a while.
She would later pick Wolverine’s side during the Schism, becoming the vice-principal and later principal of the Jean Grey School. Having become the mentor to the time-displaced X-men, she would leave the school following Battle of the Atom and joined Cyclop’s renegade team. During this time she would have a space adventure alongside the Guardians of the Galaxy. She have a relationship with Starlord that resulted in being proposed but after the team went back to Earth, she left him. She would be invited to return to the X-men by Storm, this time as the leader of the X-men. She would propose to Colossus and was about to be marriage but she back out at the last minute. She was later refused to enter Krakoa, instead becoming the leader of the Marauders. She would later die but was resurrect on Krakoa.
Shadowcat has been a character that has a pretty big fan base, mostly due to her role in the Excalibur, Astonishing and more recent series. She hasn’t really received as many figures as she should have had. Her first figure was part of the Toybiz Walmart exclusive Giant man series. She won’t receive a new figure until the Juggernaut wave from Hasbro. She would receive another as part of the Pulse Exclusive Excalibur box set as well as another as the Marvel Unlimited Subscription Service incentives.

- When Beast brought the younger versions of the original X-men to the present, Kitty took the role of their mentor wearing a new version of her now iconic outfit.
