The time travel mutant hunting machine has a very confusing story. Introduced in Uncanny X-Men #191 (1985) by Chris Claremont and John Romita, Jr., this highly advanced Sentinel was created in the Days of Future Past timeline. When Rachel Summers was sent back to the past, he followed her. He arrived in New York and pretended to be an armored vigilante when he fought Juggernaut. He would later battle the X-men and the Inner Circle of the Hellfire Club but had to flee after few times. He would later help the X-men battle Master Mold, which saw the two Sentinels seemingly destroyed. However, it had turned out that the two had merged together to become a new being known as Bastion, all thanks to the Siege Perilous.

Now this is where things get complicated. It turned out that Nimrod had back up his program onto a military computer which rebuilt his body. He would battle the X-Force. At some point, his body was discovered by the Purifiers who used his knowledge and weaponry to attack the X-mansion, killing many students. Nimrod would escape and battle the New X-men. He later traveled back in time. His damaged body was later used to reactivate Bastion, who battle Hope Summers who had returned to the past after being raise by Cable. Nimrod would later return as the main villain of the House/Power of X.

Nimrod has been has been one of the most requested BAF for an X-men wave for many years, ranking high on many Top 10 lists. However, Hasbro knowing this has decided to release him not as a BAF but as a yet unknown single figure (rumor as a part of a 3-pack with Psylocke and Fantomex).

Classic

Recommend Figure:  Hasbro Amazon Exclusive Marvel Legends X-men 20th Anniversary Box Set – Nimrod (Alternae Head) with Psylocke and Fantomex

  • Background:
    • Nimrod always had a unique design that has been drawn differently over the years. Sometimes he is more blocky and others he is his rounder. He also can be more pink/purple but most of the time he is white. His unique head would remain the same though. (The wings are removable by the way).
  • Why you need it for your collection?:
    • You will need a Nimrod for your X-men Villains collection as well as standing with all the Sentinels you have. This an alternate head for a more classic looks so it’s up to you if you want the classics or House of X version below.
  • Does it need a remake?:
    • No.

House of X

Recommend Figure:  Hasbro Amazon Exclusive Marvel Legends X-men 20th Anniversary Box Set – Nimrod with Psylocke and Fantomex

  • Background:
    • In an effort to rebrand the X-men and make it easier to introduce them into the MCU, Marvel launched the House of X / Power of X storyline. Nimrod was the main villain of this story and got a new look for it. (Yes, I know this maybe an alternate universe version but I am not making a separate page for it.
  • Why you need it for your collection?:
    • Like I said above you need Nimrod for your X-men Villains collection as well as to stand with your Sentinels. Given that this is just a head swap, it’s up to you which head you want to use. However, Hasbro has indicated that they will be making more HOX figures so you may need it for that.
  • Does it need a remake?:
    • No.
