He feeds on your dreams. Introduced in Strange Tales #110 (1963) by Stan Lee and Steve Ditko, Nightmare is a conceptual being that represents dreams and nightmares. He wants to bring the dream world into the real world and rule both dimensions. He has taken over people minds and has sired children with woman. He would be defeated by the sorcerer supreme over the centuries include the Ancient One and Dr. Strange.
He would continue to battle with Strange, becoming his most frequent foe, nearly up there with Mordo or Dormammu. He has team up with his fellow Fear Lords and other gods, like Pluto. He has also battled many heroes, include Spider-man (who hasn’t at this stage), Hulk, Fantastic Four, X-men and many more. He has even been “killed” many times but as a conceptual entity, he would always return since people continue to dream.
Possible Figures
- Which has the best chance of being made? – Nightmare is one of those characters that has a signature look that many artists have drawn differently. Thus if we only get one version, then his classic green suit is the only one we will get.
- How can it be made? – For the first time, I can’t really say Hasbro has a figure that can work with this figure. Some people have said he should be a BAF and others say he should be a regular figure. See that’s the thing with Nightmare. He is never the same size in one appearance as he is in the next, kind of how dreams and nightmares are. and then there is also Dreamstalker, his horse, and whether or not Hasbro would ever make him. Regardless of how he would be released, all agree he should be part of at least Dr. Strange wave or set of sort.
