This is why Kevin Smith should never be allowed near Spider-man again. (Good story though, just not a Spider-man story). Introduced in Spider-Man/Black Cat: The Evil That Men Do #1 by
Kevin Smith, Terry Dodson and Rachel Dodson, Francis Klum was a Jewish mutant who was bullied at school for his religion. His older brother protected him, only for said brother to sexually abuse him. The brothers would grow up and use their teleportation power to build a drug empire. This was brought to the attention of Black Cat, whose friend overdosed on their drugs. However, she was captured and nearly raped by his brother. Francis used his powers to teleport inside his brother and burst out of his body. Black Cat was arrested for the brother’s murder.
Franscis would use his power to allow Black Cat to escape prison and take her to the same bridge that Gwen Stacy died. He apologized to Black Cat for getting her involved and told her his story. Black Cat told Klum that she too had been a victim of sexual abuse. She was raped in college. She convinced him to turn himself in, but Spider-man came to save her. The combination of see the bridge and Francis with a gun, caused Spider-man to lash out and attack Francis, knocking him off the bridge.
He of course survived and approached someone working for Kingpin, who sold one of Mysterio’s old suits and gadgets to him. He spent months learning how they work for his revenge against Spider-man. When Spider-man’s identity was revealed to the world, he would plant traps in the school that Peter Parker was working at. This brought him into conflict with Berkhart and a recently revived Beck. This conflict ends with Klum being stabbed by the school nurse, Miss Arrow. He seemed to have died but was later cloned and revived by Jackal (Reilly), He would later be one of the many clones to die during the clone degeneration of the Clone Conspiracy arc.
We haven’t gotten an official figure of Klum. However, any of the Mysterio figure with the yellow gloves can easily be used for Klum if you want to.

- Background:
- After he was accidentally kicked off the bridge, Francis Klum approached one of Kingpin’s men, who sold him one of Mysterio’s old suits. He used it against Spider-man before his death….twice.
- Why do you need it for your collection?
- You obviously will probably just use this for Beck, but if you want an excuse to have multiple Mysterio’s on the shelf you can use the one above as Klum.
- Does it need a remake?
- No.

Below you will find a gallery of suits that still need to be made. Please let me know if I have missed anything.
