He is probably the most powerful mortal in existence but suffers his crippling depression. Introduced in Fantastic Four #20 (1963) by Stan Lee and Jack Kirby, Owen Reece was lowly worker in power plant when a pin whole tear in reality, bombarding him with powers that allowed him to control the very molecules. It would eventually be revealed he was chosen as the vessel of the Beyonders, in order to use him to destroy all the multiverse. Taking the name Molecule Man, Owen became a villain and battled the F4. He was taken by the Watcher but would return a few times to fight other villains and heroes, sometimes in different bodies.
He would eventually be taken by the Beyonder (the original version) and placed with the villains in Battleworld. There he met Volcana, a woman that was transported to Battleworld and transformed into a villain with Titania. The two would eventually marry and Owen would try turning his life around. He would help heroes but because of his mental state would slip back into villainy. Eventually he was recruited by Dr. Doom and Dr. Strange to help prevent the incursions, killing his creators and allowing Doom to absorb their powers. After Doom created his own Battleworld, Owen was placed under Doom Castle as a power source. When Spider-man and Miles Morales snuck into the castle, Mile gave Owen a burger, which made Owen help restore the multiverse.
Molecule Man is a character that fans have been asking for a while. He would eventually receive a figure as part of the (rumored) Avengers wave.
