She is the bright light against her husband’s gloomy moods. Introduced in Mighty World of Marvel (Vol. 2) #7 (1983) by Alan Moore and Alan Davis, Meggan powers manifested as a baby when she would grew fur to keep herself warm. Her parents kept her isolated to protect her but when Mad Jasper warped Britain, they were captured and sent to a camp for superpowered people. When it was changed back, she befriended two children. She would meet and fought Captain Britain but the resulting fight ended with one of the children being killed. After apologising to the family. Captain Britain offered Meggan a home in his mansion. While staying at the mansion, the pair would have to deal with some Warpies (mutants believed to have been to this earth by Mad Jasper) and Meggan learnt her true powers and transformed into a beautiful woman. They would eventually be kicked out of the mansion by Betsy and would begin living at a lighthouse.

Much later after it was believed that Betsy and the X-men were killed, Brian turned to drinking. This cause Meggan to seek help from Nightcrawler but was captured by TechNet. Working with Nightcrawler, Shadowcat and Rachel Summers, they worked together to defeated the villains. They would stay together forming the original UK based team Excalibur. During Inferno, she was possessed by demon influence and turned into the Goblin Princess. She was saved by Shadowcat and the Soulsword. After the team moved into the Braddock Mansion, Jamie Braddock and Sat-Yr-9 would attack the team but Meggan manage to beat him. Brian would swear revenge against Sat-Yr-9 but Nightcrawler would make him realise that he was neglecting Meggan. He took her on a holiday where he proposed to her. He also told her that he love her despite no matter what she looked like. After a brief relationship with Colossus when Brian went missing, the two were married.

They soon learnt of Brian inherited role as the King of Otherworld, with her becoming his queen. The result energy from Scarlet Witch turning the world into the House of M universe, resulted in Meggan sacrificing herself. She would be revealed to be alive and reunited with her husband. She would later give birth to their daughter. She later witnessed Brian handing off the role of Captain Britain to Betsy and would aid Excalibur from time to time.

Meggan has always been one of those character that people believed wouldn’t be made. However, after multiple teasing, Hasbro revealed that she was part of an Excalibur set along her husband and Shadowcat.
