Hey look it’s the Creature from the …… I mean, the legally distinct version Manphibian. Introduced in Legion of Monsters #1 (1975) by Marv Wolfman, Tony Isabella and Dave Cockrum, the creature known only as Manphibian comes from an unknown planet, who saw his wife and child being killed by another member of his race. When the villain fled into space, Manphibian followed after him, with them both crashing on Earth and trapped underground for a millennia. He would eventually be revived when an oil tycoon built an oil rig above the place where they were bury. After they drilled into the place the two were buried, allowing the pair to climb up out of the pipe. The other creature wanted to continue his murderous instinct and attacked the tycoon’s wife. Manphibian battled the other creature but the tycoon and his wife jumped on a helicopter and bombard the pipeline with missile, believing they would kill the creatures. They both survived but the other creature escaped so Manphibian swore revenge against it.

While raising the rest of his offspring, he was eventually recruited by SHIELD to join Nick Fury’s Howling Commandos, when they fought against Merlin. He would later fight the Legion of Monsters, when they battled the Hunter of Monster Special Force. However this war saw his children being killed after being tortured by Robert Hellsgaard. He was later kidnapped and force to join the Avengers of the Supernatural by Mojo for his TV audience. He later returned to SHIELD where he would join Dum Dum Dugan’s Howling Commandos. He was last seen as a member of Deadpool, Inc.
