She was Agent Venom’s unofficial sidekick. Introduced in Venom (Vol. 2) #31 (2013) by Cullen Bunn and Declan Shalvey, Andi Benton was the young neighbor of Flash Thompson, who was also her teacher and who she learnt was Agent Venom. When Lord Ogre and Jack O’Lantern attacked Flash and killed her father, Flash protected her by using a piece of the Venom symbiote. This piece bonded with Andi, and she dubbed herself Mania. She attacked Jack O’Lantern and was going to kill him for killing her father, but she was stopped by Flash. She moved in with her aunt while she continued to hunt down Lord Ogre.

She eventually found him but was attacked by Crossbones, who wanted to the hell mark that Agent Venom accidentally gave her with the symbiote. Crossbones had his ally, Master Mayhem, summon demons to attack but Andi used the Hell mark to control the demon and sent them to attack Crossbones and his gang. They would try to get Mephisto to remove the mark, but the demon informed them that it was part of the symbiote that she was wearing. After Venom left to join the GOTG, the mark made it feel like he had abandoned her and when Venom returned, she attacked him. She was captured and with the help of Spider-man and his friends, she was saved, and the mark removed.

After helping with the war against the Poisons, she was attacked by Lee Price, who stole her symbiote. She would travel to New York to help Venom (Brock), Spider-man and others to stop Price (now Manic) and his Inklings. She was reunited with Flash, who had now become Agent Anti-Venom. She returned home but was eventually attacked by Carnage, who was looking for the klyntar matrix in all the Symbiotes hosts. She escaped but was later attacked by Patricia Robertson, another former host of Mania but now the host of Scream, now corrupted by Knull. Andi managed to convince the symbiote to break away from Knull’s control and bond with her, becoming the new Scream. She would work with other heroes to defeat Carnage.

She would remain in New York and became homeless, staying in the FEAST shelter. She was eventually attacked by Hybrid, the combination of the Life Foundation symbiote. She would fight against Demagoblin (Demogoblin hosted by Shriek) and help fight Knull. She was later forced to join the Klyntar hive mind by Carnage. The Scream symbiote embraced the Carnage influence and tried to kill Andi but Andi used hellfire to burn the symbiote away. She was taken in by some Guardsmen and brought to Alchemax, where she was attacked by Phage. She was stabbed in the chest and while Agent Anti-Venom held the symbiote back, she was rushed into surgery. The doctors removed a piece of the Scream symbiote still in her body and used it to create a new symbiote, Silence. Together with Flash and the new Toxin, they took the fight against Carnage himself.

Andi’s Mania form has been requested by fans for a while. She technically got a Scream figure when it was released in the Monster Venom wave. She would also receive a Mania figure as fan channel 2-pack with Space Venom.

Background:
- When Jack O’Lantern attacked Andi and Flash and killed her father, Flash used the Symbiote to protect her. However, it bonded with Andi. Since it was probably influenced by Agent Venom, it would take on a form similar to him.
Why do you need it for your collection?
- If you want to add another symbiote to your collection that is a unique character, then you may want to get this, especially if you got the Anti-Venom figure. It is also needed for a Venomverse collections.

Background:
- After escaping a Knull empowered Carnage, she was later attacked by Scream. Using the hell mark, she convinced the symbiote to leave the Knull hive mind and bond with her, becoming the third Scream.

- It’s doubtful you will be using this as Andi, but if you are a fan of the character, you may want this to either fight or as part of her waredrobe.
