Jonah’s pride and joy happens to be one of Spider-man’s greatest supporters. Introduced in Amazing Spider-Man #1 (1962) by Stan Lee and Steve Dikto, John Jameson III is the son of J. Jonah Jameson and a respected astronaut. During a space trip, his shuttle ran into some problems and began plummeting to earth. The crew was rescued by Spider-man and while his earned hatred from Jonah (who he blamed for his son’s failed mission), John would begin to respect the webhead. During another mission, he would contract a virus that gave him super-strength, but he had to wear a suit to control it. When Spidey was framed for robbing a bank, Jonah persuaded his son to use this gift to bring Spidey in, but Spidey managed to cure John.
On a lunar mission, John found a gemstone and brought it back to Earth. During a full moon however, this would merge with John and transform him into a Werewolf, called Man-Wolf. He would attack his fiancé but was stopped by Spider-man. He was later transformed into Man-Wolf again when Morbius used the gemstone to control John and sent him to attack Spider-man. During a space mission for SHIELD, he would encounter the original race of the gemstone, who took him to their planet and helped him gain control of his wolf form. He would return to Earth but would lose control of his Man-Wolf form a few times.
After being cured by Dr. Connors, he was hired by Cap to be his and the Avengers’ pilot. He would later be hired at Ravencroft Institute as head of security and would be bonded with the Carnage for time. During the Civil War, he would register his identity as Man-Wolf and help search for unregistered heroes. During this time, he would begin a relationship with She-Hulk and they were married shortly after. However, it turned out their attraction was the result of Starfox out of control powers and they soon spilt. He would later join the Symbiote Task Force and helped stop Carnage to summon Knull. He would join the Agent of Wakanda and would later return to Ravencroft, where he would become the Warden.
John is a character that has been involve in a few good this but he would only recieve one ML style figure as part of the Toybiz Spider-man Series 16.
Original Man-Wolf

Recommend Figure: Toybiz Amazing Spider-man Classic series 16 – Howling Man-Wolf
- Background:
- This is Man-Wolf as he originally appeared. He was still wearing the power suit at the time, so it was destroyed when he transformed into the werewolf.
- Why do you need it for your collection?
- This is a figure you may want for the Spider-man villains or allies’ shelf. It can also be used as part of the Avengers’ support staff or as part of She-Hulk shelf. However, I would just wait for Hasbro to remake it.
- Does it need a remake?
- Yes, which is surprising because they have the perfect build in Beast or Jackal.
Stargod

Recommend Figure: Hasbro Marvel Legends Magic the Gathering X Spider-man – Man-Wolf
- Background:
- John would eventually get his own story arc, where he went to the Other World and became part of a fantasy adventure. He would gain his now signature costume as well as a bow and sword as well as control over his wolf form.
- Why do you need it for your collection?
- If you missed the previous version or want a major update to John, you may want to get this for your Spider-man shelves, either on the Villains or allies shelf. It can also be got for your Avengers, She-hulk and more.
- Does it need a remake?
- No.
