He is the most dangerous member of the Inhumans, and he doesn’t have powers. Introduced in Fantastic Four #45 (1965) by Stan Lee and Jack Kirby, Karnak is the younger brother of Triton and cousin to the rest of the Inhuman’s royal family. When Triton underwent the Terrigen Mist, he was transformed into his aquatic form, not being able to survive without special equipment. This scared their parents and they pleaded with the High Council that Karnak not to undergo the Terrigen Mist. Karnak was sent to the Temple of Wisdom, where he underwent training in martial arts as well as academics. He became so profound in the martial arts that he developed the skill to find any weakness in anything. During his training, he fathered a son, Leer, with a yet unknown woman.

When the Royal family went in search of the missing Medusa, who had lost her memories and was working as a member of the Frightful Four, Karnak went with them and encountered the F4. They would battle but soon joined forced to stop Maximus. Maximus wanted to destroy all of humanity but when that failed, he encased Attilan in a force field, which had no weakness according to Karnak. They were eventually freed when Black Bolt unleashed his voice to destroy the barrier. After being involved in The Silent Wars, he helped defeat the Skrull Invasion and went to rescue Black Bolt. The Inhumans decided to leave Earth and take over the Kree, with Karnak using his skills to find a weakness in Hala’s energy shields.

After Thanos destroyed Attilan and Black Bolt released the Terrigen mist as the Terrigen Cloud, Karnak was mentally scarred and found running amok in Manhattan. He was captured by the Avengers and taken into custody. However, he escaped his cell and committed suicide. He found himself in Lineage mindscape and tried to escape but failed. He would later escape and regained a new body, which he used to stop Lineage from betraying Medusa. He left Attilan and built a second Tower of Wisdom. He began working for SHIELD in order to finance his tower, working with them to help NuHumans, humans with Inhuman DNA that had been transformed from exposure to the Terrigen Cloud. During the X-men and Inhuman war, he was captured by Jean Grey and other psychis, who trapped him in a psychic mindscape as they believed he was the most dangerous member of the Inhumans.

Out of the Inhumans, Karnak is probably one of the most popular members. He has received a few figures over the years, but his first ML figure was part of the Marvels Totally Awesome Hulk wave.
