Let’s be honest, if you were in a team with Logan and Creed at the same time, you would end up paranoid as well. Introduced in Wolverine (Vol. 2) #48 (1991) by Larry Hama, Marc Silvestri and Dave Hoover, the man known as John Wraith was a member of the CIA operated Team X, alongside the future Wolverine, Sabretooth, Maverick, Silver Fox and Mastodon. As the team’s teleporter he helped the team many times especially when they went up against Omega Red for the first time, revealing his gift to Wolverine for the first time. Decades later, he tracked down his old friend as the drug that was slowly down his aging was becoming ineffective for him and Mastodon. Working together they tracked down Psi-Borg, who was revealed to have been the person who implanted false memories into their minds. With the help of Maverick, they defeated him and John would hang with Wolverine for a while before vanishing.

Years later, he help Maverick hide the Carbonadium Synthesizer from Omega Red, running interference for Maverick. He would later be recruited by the new Weapon X Director but he was gutted by Sabretooth soon after. He survived and became a pastor. However, a demon possessing Wolverine attacked and killed Wraith. His body was recovered by the Contagion to study and dissect. He somehow returned to the living when Sage asked him for help in teleport Xavier and other Krakoa away during the Orchis attack. He was last seen trying to get Xavier off Earth.
