Time to get down with the Funk. (I will not apologize for that joke. That is literally his entire persona.) Introduced in Peter Parker, The Spectacular Spider-Man #24 (1978) by Bill Mantlo and Frank Springer, Antione was a member of the band Mercy Killers, with him taking the name Hypno-Hustler. He was caught stealing from the club owner but used his devices to hypnotize the owner. The band then decided to use this to began hypnotizing their audience and steal their belongings. However, Peter Parker, along with his friends, were in the club during one of the band’s shows. Peter noticed something was wrong and snuck away to switch into his Spider-man suit. Dodging Hustler’s hypnosis, Peter managed to turn the device on Hustler and sent him to jail. He was later seen in a meeting with Villain Anonymous but would return to crime when he tried to capture Lily Hollister’s baby for Doc Ock. His most recent appearance saw him hiring Deadpool to break him out of prison and the Thinkerer upgrading his devices….. He was beaten by Spider-man and Deadpool.
