What if Captain America was a Hydra double agent this whole time? That was the question Nick Spencer and Daniel Acuña asked in Captain America: Sam Wilson #7 (2016). Steve Rogers had aged considerably, and Sam Wilson had taken over as Cap. However, during the Pleasant Hill arc, Steve was beaten by Crossbones while protecting Kubik, the living Cosmic Cube. Fearing for Cap’s life and under orders from Red Skull, she made Cap young again and created a timeline where he was a hidden agent of Hydra, switching Prime universe with this one. Everyone believed that this Cap was their Cap so he easily blends into the superhero community. His background was pretty much the same on the outside. However, in his universe, Hydra was an ancient order that had been working in the background for centuries. He became a member at an early age and trained by them. He was made Captain America on Hydra’s order, but they came under the rule of Red Skull and became a Nazi group. The rest is pretty much the same as the prime version after that.
This Cap began working for and against Red Skull to restore Hydra’s rule. This included saving scientist and villains that Red Skull had sent him to kill, building a trusted group of allies. He even worked to ensure that the second Civil War happened. When Red Skull was capture and had Xavier’s brain remove, Cap killed the weakened Skull becoming the leader of Hydra. Using the Chitauri Queen’s eggs to make her race attack Earth, Cap worked to bring about the SHIELD Act, which allowed SHIELD to take over the US in case of a emergency and was even made head of SHIELD after Maria Hill was arrested. After a few incidents, Hydra eventually took over the US pushing the heroes underground and changing it into a Nazi like country. However, he would see his defeat after a group of heroes pulled the real Cap out of the Cosmic Cube and Cap whooped the Hydra Supreme with Mjolnir. He was arrested but would escape and planned to replace Cap once more. Selene later killed him.
Hydra Supreme is a character that caused alot of controversy when he first appeared. However, that didn’t stop Hasbro from making a figure of him as part of the Secret Empire 2-pack with an Arnim Zola. You could also consider all of Prime’s Cap his figure but for the sake of time I will only show the costume that he was seen in in the comics.
First Appearance

Recommend Figure: Hasbro Marvel Legends Terrax Wave – Commander Rogers
- Background:
- During the Pleasant Hill event, Cap (still an old man) happened upon Kobik in a bowling office. However, he was also spotted by Crossbones, who nearly killed him. Kobik used her powers to switch Prime Cap with a new Hydra allied Cap from a timeline she created. He was wearing this at the time.
- Why you need it for your collection?:
- I highly doubt you will get this version for Hydra Cap. You should only get it for a Prime Cap collection.
- Does it need a remake?:
- For this version no, but I do think it needs to be remade on a shorter body.
World War II ~

Recommend Figure: Hasbro Marvel Legends 80th Anniversary – Captain America
- Background:
- This version of Cap is pretty much the same as the Prime version including all his costumes he wore during WWII. The main different is that what he appeared as in the media but instead was working for bring down the US from the inside.
- Why you need it for your collection?:
- I highly doubt you will get this version for Hydra Cap. You should only get it for a Prime Cap collection.
- Does it need a remake?:
- No.
Final Battle

Recommend Figure: Hasbro Fan Channel Marvel Legends Secret Empire – Hydra Supreme with Arnim Zola
- Background:
- During the final battle with the Avengers, Hydra Cap donned this armor, which was power by the cosmic cube, to beat down the team. This design is actually a recolored version of the Contest of Champions mobile app Civil Warrior (who I’m surprised hasn’t been made yet).
- Why you need it for your collection?:
- Despite being a poorly received story arc, I would recommend getting this figure as it is a awesome figure. I would also recommend it for your Alternate Caps, Hydra Members and recreating the battle scenes.
- Does it need a remake?:
- No.

Below you will find a gallery of suits that still need to be made. I have included what I think are the possibilities of them being made. Note that these are my personal opinions and not facts. Please let me know if I have missed anything.
