Jonah really needs to stop hiring the Stillwells. Introduce by Amazing Spider-Man Annual #10 (1976) by Bill Mantlo and Gil Kane, Richard Deacon was a criminal who he kidnapped an old man and heiress. He was confronted by Spider-man and was shot by police. He escaped into the lab of Harlan Stillwell. He overheard the doctor talking to Jonah Jameson about creating a new superhero. Deacon forced the doctor to heal him and give him super-powers, by combining his DNA with a housefly. He killed Stillwell and went on a crime spree as the Fly. He kidnapped Jameson but was stopped by Spider-man.
After fighting a few other heroes like Spider-woman, Black Cat and Moon Knight, he began to lose his grip on his humanity, acting more like a fly. He blamed Jameson and Spider-man for this and would attack them but was defeated by Spider-man. He was sent to an insane asylum and was targeted by the Scourge of the Underworld but escaped before he was killed. He trained to attack Spider-man but Scourge, disguised as a garbage collector, shot, and killed him.
He, of course, was resurrected, this time by the Hood, in order to kill the Punisher. He also gained acid vomit. He later robbed some money from the Kingpin and was targeted by Kingpin’s hitman, the Hobgoblin. He later escaped prison and joined the Savage Six to fight Agent Venom. He tried to kidnap Agent Venom mother but was tortured by Venom into giving him the Crime Master location. He was seen in the Raft and later escaped and began working for Boomerang.
Let’s be honest. Not many people knew about Human Fly. Which is surprised many people, when he was revealed as part of a Spider-man Amazon Box set.

- Background:
- After killing Stillwell, he began wearing a makeshift costume. He would wear this for his small number of appearances until his mutation turned him into more of a fly than human.
- Why do you need it for your collection?
- A very obscure character, you may want to get this for your extended Spider-man rogue gallery. It can also be used for the Savage Six team with Toxin.
- Does it need a remake?
- No.
