Going to be honest. I always thought she was a Cat girl. Introduced in X-Men #107 (1977) by Chris Claremont and Dave Cockrum, the skunk-like alien, whose real name is unpronounceable to human tongue, was a prisoner in the same prison as Christopher Summers. She helped him, and a few other prisoner, lead a prison break. Stealing the starship, The Starjammer, Summers, now going by Corsair, christened her Hezpibah. They would form a pirate group, traveling the Shi’Ar galaxy, attacking Emperor D’Ken’s forces and aiding those that need. She would become the lover of Corsair.

She would eventually met the X-men when they help the mutants with the Phoenix and defeat D’Ken. For the most part, she was just part of the Starjammers when they encountered Earth’s heroes. When Corsair was killed by Vulcan, she swore revenge but eventually found herself trapped on Earth. She would join the X-men with Warpath helping her overcome her grief at the loss of Corsair. During the hunt for the first mutant born after M-Day, Cyclops assembled a new team of X-force, consisting of people with expert tracking skills. She was later treated with deportation with SWORD but was allowed to remain on Earth. She eventually was reunited with a resurrected Corsair and rejoined the Starjammers.

Possible Figures

  • Which has the best chance of being made? – Honestly this is one character that I’m not sure which version they will do. They could do the original look or the second look. The X-men/Force look could work. I don’t see them doing the Fall/Rise of the X-men look.
  • How can it be made? – This one is another easy insert into an X-men wave, either as a BAF or Vintage wave. We could do a 2-pack with Raza and complete the main crew but that seems unlikely.
