Before long before the Surfer, there was this guy. Introduced in Thanos #11 (2004) by Keith Giffen and Ron Lim, this alien from an unknown race was one of the first being created by Galactus to be his servant. However, instead of using the Power Cosmic, he was empowered by dark matter. He proved too cruel though, which caused Galactus to imprison him. He of course escaped and attacked Galactus several times until Star Lord imprisoned the Fallen One in Klyn. During the battle between Thanos and the Maker, he managed to escape and attack Galactus again, but Galactus just teleported him back to Thanos to deal with, who defeated the Fallen One. Thanos enslaved him and made him his own Herald.

He was serving Thanos when the Klyn was attacked by the Annihilation wave. He was sent to search for the Seekers and bring them to Thanos. After finding the Maker dead, he was killed by the Proemial Gods Tenebrous and Aegis, who presented him to Thanos in a form of contempt. Thanos took the power within the Fallen One and brought it to Dwarves of Nidavellir, who cremated the body and put his ashes in an urn.

Not one of Galactus’ most familiar heralds, he would gain a following after the Haslab Galactus and many of his heralds were announced. He would receive a figure as part of a Pulse Exclusive 2-pack with Terrax.

  • Background:
    • Not much is known about this Herald beyond that he was one of Galactus’ first heralds who was so cruel that even Galactus had to imprison him. It is unknown if there was another herald between him and Silver Surfer.
  •  Why do you need it for your collection?
    • If you want to build your Heralds of Galactus, particularly if you got the Haslab version, you would need this for display with them. It will also be needed for a Cosmic display.
  • Does it need a remake?
    • No.
